Winter Exhibition 2026- EnTRY FORM

Welcome to the Winter Exhibition entry and rule page

Please note:

Members may submit a maximum of three artworks. Only 1 piece of Artwork can be submitted if of the maximum size ie 90 x 75cms (30 x 36 inches).

Sales will be subject to a commission of 20% payable by the Society to Llanelli Library.

Entry Forms will also be available at demonstrations, workshops, socials and also in the Llanelly House in our exhibition space

CATEGORIES

Best Oil Painting, Best Watercolour, Best Acrylic, Best Mixed Media, People’s Choice Award and Best Overall winner

Please Note: All category award winners will receive £25 cash prize. Overall Winner will receive £50 cash prize.

EXHIBITION ENTRY FEES

£5.00 per artwork – For sale.  £7.50 per artwork not for sale.

All fees are payable by cash, cheque, or BACS – upon submission of the Entry form, where you will find all payment details.

Please let us know if you are unable to collect your artworks at the end of the exhibition.

If sending Cheques (payable to Llanelli Art Society, with WINEX26 and initial & surname on reverse) or cash please post/hand to a member of the Committee

EXHIBITION RULES

1) A member may exhibit a maximum of three original artworks which must not contravene the exclusions detailed in the Exhibition Rules. A shortage of hanging space may result in large artworks being excluded.

2) The Hanging Fee per artwork is £5.00, if the artwork is “For sale” or £ 7.50 if “Not for sale”

3) All exhibits must be labelled and prepared for hanging as detailed below.

4) Artworks submitted for the exhibition will be inspected prior to acceptance. Any which fail to meet the hanging criteria detailed below may be rejected.

5) Llanelli Art Society members exhibiting are expected to steward the exhibition. A rota will be constructed on handing in day when you will be asked to commit to at least one 3-hour stewarding session. 

6) Failure to comply with the Exhibition Rules may result in the rejection of your artwork(s)

7) All exhibitors should make themselves aware of the Copyright laws before exhibiting

8) Artwork produced at workshops will not be accepted

9) Art works previously entered in any of Llanelli Art Society’s Exhibitions will be excluded

10) The committee has the right to deny entries of a political or sexual nature, or anything that may cause offence.

A hard copy of the Exhibition Rules can be obtained from the LAS Chair.
Monday 2nd November 2026  HANDING IN DAY Artworks to be submitted between 10am and 12 noon at the Atheneum Hall, Llanelli Central Library.

Saturday 7th November 2026 EXHIBITION OPENS and AWARDS CEREMONY
Official opening of the exhibition and Awards Ceremony 11am. Public opening 1pm.

Saturday 7th November 1pm – Friday 20th November 3pm EXHIBITION open to the Public

Friday 20th November 3pm EXHIBITION CLOSES

Saturday 21st November 2026  COLLECTION DAY
Artworks to be collected between 10.00am and Noon.

LABELLING AND HANGING INSTRUCTIONS

Each artwork, whether in landscape or portrait format, must have picture screws or D rings attached to and positioned one-third of the way down the frame, not on the backing board, along with a strong hanging cord. This will ensure that the artwork is displayed correctly.

The following information must be on a label attached to a string long enough to extend above the painting when hung:

• Name and telephone number of the artist

• Title of the artwork

• Medium of the artwork

• Price or “Not for sale”

Artworks submitted for the exhibition will be inspected prior to acceptance. Any which fail to meet the hanging criteria detailed above may be rejected

Every care will be taken of the artworks submitted but Llanelli Art Society cannot be responsible for damage or loss of any artwork. Neither Llanelli Art Society nor the library can take responsibility for any artwork left behind after the deadline of 12.00 noon on the specified Collection Day
